Shane has received several recognitions for academic and clinical excellence during his career as a Physiotherapist. He has held senior positions in the Hospital sector, Aged Care, Sports, Private Practice and Community Health sectors. This vast experience enables him to recognise and treat a wide range of ailments. Shane’s wealth of knowledge and experience also gives him a wider range of treatment strategies to meet your individual needs.
Shane has an interest during his consultations to communicate thoroughly your Pathophysiology. Discussing contributing factors such as manual handling or posture and ways to manage pain, tension or movement patterns. This gives you the best opportunity to manage your condition effectively.
Shane and Elene started My Parklands Physio in 2005 and have been blessed to expand to another 2 locations in My Sippy Downs Physio and My Brightwater Physio clinics. Being able to provide the same Personal care to more of the Sunshine Coast community.

Alex Boyd - Physiotherapist

Alex moved to the Sunshine Coast in April 2023 from Papamoa, New Zealand. He qualified as a physiotherapist in 2010 and previously owned his own clinic in NZ for the past 8 years.
Alex originally decided to be a physiotherapist back in 2006 when he was backpacking through Thailand and attended a Buddhist meditation retreat. After 4 years at Auckland University of Technology he became a fully fledged physio. Alex has a hands-on approach and has lots of experience treating acute and chronic injuries. He has worked in several retirement villages and aged care facilities providing rehabilitation and hydrotherapy. Alex also has experience as the lead physiotherapist for several sports teams that have included rugby, rugby league, netball, basketball, soccer, swimming and crossfit.
Alex is a well travelled individual and competitive ocean swimmer. The combination of the two has led him to complete races such as the Escape From Alcatraz in San Francisco and the Waikiki Roughwater Swim in Hawaii. He has a wife and two young children who take the opportunity to explore new places whenever they get the chance

Rohan Ward - Physiotherapist
B.Ex.Sc M.Physio (Provider Number: 5233269L)
Rohan brings a wealth of experience to the team, having been a registered physiotherapist for nearly a decade. He holds two degrees: a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Sport and Exercise Science. He has thoroughly enjoyed working in private practice throughout his career, rehabilitating a wide variety of patients from all walks of life and from all sorts of injury, pain, and dysfunction.
Rohan takes great care in delivering treatment within a pragmatic framework that is grounded in evidence-based research and suited to meet his patients’ individual needs. He is both passionate and fascinated by the complex nature of patient rehabilitation, and has comprehensive knowledge of how the body works and enjoys giving this insight to his patients.
Rohan believes in the importance of ‘one-on-one’ care and achieving an immediate outcome for his patients. This is achieved through utilizing a ‘hands-on’ approach to his treatment, accompanied with targeted exercise prescription, ensuring that his rehabilitation is timely, specific, and effective. He employs a wide assortment of treatment modalities, including dry needling, and shockwave therapy.
Rohan has been heavily involved in sport both as an athlete and as a physiotherapist, understanding and enjoying the challenge of helping patients strive for their absolute peak performance. When he is not working, Rohan enjoys an active lifestyle with his wife and running around after their two young kids.
Rohan accepts patients at the Sippy Downs and Brightwater clinics, including Saturday appointments.

Justin Rutch - Exercise Physiologist

Justin is an Exercise Physiologist who is passionate about neurodiversity, sports, and the treatment of individuals with neurological conditions. He participates in sports and has an active life, making his profession of exercise physiologist more relevant.
Justin treats clients with neurological disorders such as Stroke, Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, and others.
His exercise therapy programs are designed on an individual basis in conjunction with other modalities to foster improvement in function, quality of life, and to support long-term wellness.
Justin truely believes the notion that fitness is the backbone of a healthy mind and body.
Just enjoys helping people with ADHD, autism, and other challenges to attain their fitness goals through personal and accessible exercise programs that meet neurodiverse needs.
Justin is a facilitator of giving power to people through exercise!
