Alex moved to the Sunshine Coast in April 2023 from Papamoa, New Zealand. He qualified as a physiotherapist in 2010 and previously owned his own clinic in NZ for the past 8 years.
Alex originally decided to be a physiotherapist back in 2006 when he was backpacking through Thailand and attended a Buddhist meditation retreat. After 4 years at Auckland University of Technology he became a fully fledged physio. Alex has a hands-on approach and has lots of experience treating acute and chronic injuries. He has worked in several retirement villages and aged care facilities providing rehabilitation and hydrotherapy. Alex also has experience as the lead physiotherapist for several sports teams that have included rugby, rugby league, netball, basketball, soccer, swimming and crossfit.
Alex is a well travelled individual and competitive ocean swimmer. The combination of the two has led him to complete races such as the Escape From Alcatraz in San Francisco and the Waikiki Roughwater Swim in Hawaii. He has a wife and two young children who take the opportunity to explore new places whenever they get the chance
